A Journey To Litohoro in Greece

When the time came for the journey, we were all excited as it was going to be our first visit to Greece as well.We two families hardly fitted into the car with much luggage including my granddaughter's prum. My youngest daughter and I and the baby were sitting at the back of the car.We did not meet any difficulties at the border when we had our papers stamped. We were all smiling while on our way to Litohoro.Everything we saw was familiar to us as Greeks and Turkish people lived together years ago and were affected by each other in everyway. It seemed to me that the only differences were the religion and the languages but you could catch up many words that were being used in both languages.

My eldest ,who was going to get married , was intructing us by her mobile.

-'Get some petrol there, follow this sign on that motorway.'were her words till we stopped in front of her future house where she met us.I could not take myself from looking at the newly painted grey-blue house for a while. It was going to be her home.I whispered prayers for her happiness!

Litohoro was a lovely small village by the skirts of Mount Olympus. You could always feel the breeze blowing down from the mountain. The people were friendly to us and we received warm welcome everywhere we went. You could find everything you needed in the shops in the small village center. We all enjoyed being in Litohoro and staying in our private flat very much.
